ABOUT ME – Meet Mike “The Arcade Wizard”

Hey, I’m Mike but most people know me as “The Arcade Wizard” or “The Dread in the Shed”

I’m a gamer, just like you, and my love for classic retro arcade games is what started this whole journey.

Back in 2009, I built my first arcade cabinet for my own personal use. I didn’t plan on turning it into a business, I just wanted to bring that old-school arcade magic into my own space. But one build led to another and before long, I was designing and creating custom arcade machines for friends, families and amazing clients all across the country. Toronto Arcades was born!

This isn’t just a job for me, it’s my passion.  There’s nothing better than watching people relive their childhood memories or introducing a new generation to the classics that started it all.

I keep an open-door policy here in the shed, if you’re nearby, drop in, say hello. I’m a bit cheeky, I’m brutally honest, always up for a good chat… and a good coffee (XL, two milks ☕).
